the biggest reason is people not taking responsibility for their own actions. We could eliminate AIDS in just a few generations if people would just be responsible it would die out.

There was a special on this on tv a while ago.

It started in a village in Africa where a villager contracted it from a monkey (don't believe it was sexual contact, AID is also bloodborne remember). Anyhow, from that village it spread thru the airways (according the doc/movie a gay airline steward was patient zero). And from there it spread amongst the gay community.

Now of great concern is the lack of safe sex practices in certain developing countries which help the spread of AIDs

Use a glove, or no love!

It is my personal uneducated opinion that Mother nature herself has a hand in this. Population control , that's what it is. We are getting too numerous , so Mother nature steps in and tries to thin out the population. This answer does not sit well with bleeding hearts and religious leaders , but it happened before in the middle ages .

I too heard the same monkey story, but personally I feel if you follow certain religious rules of indulging in sex...you`ll be ever healthy...most of the people in present world do not follow what major religion says either because of illiteracy or ignorance..
