ok, I know this probably sounds cheesy to some of you, but my parents.
My parents are role models for the way marriage is supposed to be. They will be celebrating their 36th anniversary this year and I really look to them as an example of the ideal marriage. When I was a kid, I actually used to want them to get divorced so I could be "normal" b/c there was only 1 other kid in my grade who's biological parents were still married (and since graduation, they've gotten a divorce). I'm so glad they never did.
Whenever I have questions about a relationship I'm in, my folks are the first ones I go to, b/c they know what it takes to stay together, literally in thick and thin, sickness and in health, etc.

My dad is my role model. He is not my father but he raised me from the time I was around a year old on. There were many things that I didn't like about my dad growing up. Such as the fact that he was a truck driver so he wasn't home as often as most dads, he didn't participate in decisions when it came to us kids, he had a bad temper, he wasn't a mushy person, and he made me feel like I was stupid a lot.
But on the other hand my dad was better than any father I could ever have. He practiced tough love, although I don't think he ever realized that was what he was doing, it was just the way he was. He always let me help him out in the garage with changing tires, inventory, and everything else. He yelled at me when I was wrong but that always made me want to do things right the next time.
My dad never gave up on me. When my mom divorced him and kicked him out of the house, and I called him up to tell him I wanted to see him, my dad came and got me whenever he could. He never once asked anyone to bring me to him. He knew I was getting in to trouble and wasn't getting along with my mom, but regardless of how bad she'd hurt him, my dad told me I should try to get along with her because she was my mother and it was the right thing to do. When I went to a placement, because I'd broke the law, my dad demanded my mother tell him where I was so that he could see me, and wrote me as soon as he got the address. And when my mother had my caseworker call my dad and tell him he wasn't allowed to contact me anymore my dad didn't let that get him down. And finally, as soon as I was living where they wouldn't find out about it, my dad called me and came to see me.
I'm 27 years old and my dad and I have never stopped having a relationship. There have been times where we didn't talk for a few months because we didn't agree on something but sometimes that happens. I soon come to my senses and realize that it's because my dad loves me so much that it seems he's so tough on me. He took on a lifelong responsibility that he didn't have to take. My dad is definitely my role model.

Mine would have to be R&B singer Monica. I love her to death. She has been through so much but still maintained to keep a leveld head. Even after a the hell she's been through, she managed to find true happiness with her fiance` and new child.
