I want to know what equipment i need so i can create some quality transfers that i can then heat press onto items of clothing. I know you can buy the paper in shops and do it through a normal printer but those prints dont last when they get washed. What other methods are their? Do i need a special printer? if so what is it called? please help.

it depends on what kind of paper you get. There is different paper for each printer, and then you just put it in the printer with the back face up, and press whatever you want to print, and then just iron it on and peel the backing off..

screenprint it , all in the reverse of coarse onto a transfer paper.... run that though a dryer... then heat press that to you fabric, making sure you have something between the front of the shirt and the back on the inside so the two wont stick together.. take your artwork to a screenprinting shop and get them to make your transfers for you... should cost a great deal less than printing a shirt or a hat. sinc its only a very small part of the process...
