you might go over some "worse case" situations,,,, what would/can happen if the codes were not followed, usually there is a history behind the making of most rules,,,
for example, at my work,,,,, i do inventory auditing,,, going into different stores/businesses,,,,,, we have a rule that we can make no purchases while there,,, even as we are leaving
that rule might not seem to make much sense,, to a new hire,,,, especially someone working so much, no time hardly for shopping,,,, and they see an item on sale
the basis of that rule is that if i came to your store,,,, i saw something i wanted,,,,,, you could offer me a great discount,,,,, then a little later, you might tell me,,,,, oh there are only two of these high priced items sitting there,,,, but i have more in the back/storage,,,, count it as 6 ,,,,, we could develop a mutal beneficial relationship quickly!
that has nothing to do with your business i know, lol, but i am sure you could come up with other examples, how those you work with/for put their trust in you,,,,,,,,

I'd take him/her through the code, step-by-step and give clear examples of how violating the code could hurt the company and/or the employee him/herself:
