I doubt it will end (in my lifetime), but the polar caps are melting daily and by the time that's done, the global water level will have risen 25 feet. Coastlines will be changed. People will start flocking to mid-America, producing an over-population crisis. Our energy and food sources will be in danger. There will be big problems.
