I am in 6th grade and i have one, YES!! YOu need it for games (football) or other sports. YOU CAN USE IT TO TALK TO UR FRIENDS!

Do you need one?
I got my cell phone when I was twelve because I was going around on my own and my parents needed to be able to reach me.
If you really don't need one, then don't. Or if means a whole lot to you AND you'll need one soon, talk to your parents and get a cheap one.
I'm in 10th, only two years older than you really, and I can tell you kids are all about being exclusive. If you get a cell phone, you won't have the right backpack, or the right jacket, or the right games, or the right books, or the right anything.
Think about whether or not you really want and need a cell phone or if it's mostly about peer acceptance.
Don't fall in to the cult of materialism. I did, and it's hard to shake even though I've been out of it for a year.

These days everyone needs a cell phone. You sound a little young to have a contract plan, so I think you should try a pre paid. Virgin mobile have great phones with real music ring tones and you can pick you plan or pay as you go! Good luck

I heard those things recieve and send out radiation right through your head. Gulp. not for me!
Yeah man- just go for it if you have the dosh. But don't forget to talk to people around you to. Also teacher get really angry about those things going off in class - Just a warning ;)

ummm well do u have the money??? do u mean a prepayed phone???? do u think u cn handle a phone....???
ask urself important questions like that... a phone is not that important now ...... maibe u should wait a little maibe get one at the beggining of 8th grade... maibe u'll get a phone for ur b-day or something.. or get money over the summer....

You should sooooooooooooo get one who doesn't have a cell phone in middle school? you should of had one in the sixth grade? you can get some cheap like go phone's!-hope I helped!

it depends if you travel allot if your day consists of waking dressing going to school then coming home than you don't need one.and the phone itself may not be expensive but the service can add up

yes you should. i got my first cell in 6th grade i believe? i can't really remember. you will be addicting to it in no time, especially once you get into texting. it is really good for safety issues too if you're ever in danger when you're out with your friends or something. i know you won't regret it if you get one! they are awesome little devices. good luck.

i think you should. it can be used 4 alot of things like just talking to friends, or big emergencies...plus i have one and im in 6th grade lol
