STEROIDS do not make you hit a curveball better or a fastball any better! It is still the god given talent of the player that is doing the perfect swing! BBonds is the greatest offensive player in the history of baseball! He broke the record for most WALKS in season while still breaking the single season HR record. He saw like 150 fewer AB's then lets say Albert Pujols! So when he actually wasnt getting walked 3 times a game and a pitcher actually threw to him, he hit a HOMERUN... F***ing amazing! Also the oldest player to win the batting title and the only player to hit for 400 HR and 400 STEALS, oh and the only player to hit 500 HR and 500 STEALS... I can keep going if you'd like
Bottom line... YES I think Barry took STEROIDS, but so did EVERYONE else in the league during that time! So WHEN Barry breaks the record this year(and he will, at home, he is good enough to plan that) It will be the single greatest accomplishment in sports history! People just hate on Barry cause he isnt on their TEAM! Ha!

Baseball it self will go on as if nothing had happened. Screaming and howlering didn't change things in the past and it won't change things in the future. Remember back in 1994 when the players went on strike and no World Series? Fans screamed that they would never attend another game. Well, they went back anyway (in droves) and the game continued as if nothing happened. Our buddy good ol' Bud Selig refused to do anything about 'roids years ago. Whether we like it or not the baseball "fan" will be forced to recognise Balco Bonds as the champ in spite of the fact that Henry Louis "Hammering Hank" Aaron's honest homerun stats will fall.
And here's the sad part, 20-years from now when the new wave of baseball fans check the Record books they won't remember what really happened, but us old-timers will. Example: Outside of the Black Sox Scandal and Pete Rose - there were or should have been 14 other players thrown out of baseball for gambling on games. I'd be willing to bet... ooops... that the under 30-year-old group can't name any of those because it happened so long ago.

I know Bonds took roids and asterisks and so on so forth. Does anyone realize that Bonds hit over 400 HR's pre 1999. LOL My point is as scandalous it is for me to say, he may have broken the record w/o roids! He'd have been lighter and had more AB's with better longevity. Who's to say. If he stayed healthy from 99 til 06 (his proboble start of roid use, HR ratios and body mass drastically increased and SB's began to diminish) maybe you get 8 full seasons from him averaging still 35-40 HR's w/o roids. He'd still be at least approaching 700 quickly. He also may have improved his chances of having more seasons left in the tank.
Just to be clear, I'm no Bonds fan. I just look at it like this.
It's ironic that he's probobly one the greatest all time players before ever using roids and it's going to get lost because he did!

Baseball will react with some very quiet hand clapping, or "Cheers" if you will. Baseball doesn't want this record broken simply because of the "steroid era."
They will be "Cheering" though because if they don't, the media will have a field day. And until he is proven of something, Baseball BETTER cheer for him.

Jeers and yawns. To say Bonds* has done it on steroids is redundant now. Hank Aaron will still be the True Home Run King for years to come. (note I didn't put an asterisk by Hank's name)
Bonds was a great player without roids, his pride has been the reason people now hate him so much-so prideful he had to juice to take one of sports most glorious titles. He will and should always have an asterisk by his name. By tarnishing the game's most hallowed record. (even though he isn't the only one who took the roids)

There will be a little of both, but as far as putting an asterisk by his record, that's ridiculous!
Should we put an asterisk by Ruth's HR total because he played against only white players and never faced the best minority players? Should we also put one next to Aaron's record, because there were more teams when he played and therefore pitching was diluted?
Bonds' performance and his numbers reflect the era in which he played, just like Ruth's and Aaron's did. Unfortunately players took performance-enhancing drugs while he played. It's just something baseball has to live with.

He has the flexibility to. i don't have self belief he used steroids, he only began a diverse exercising consultation regimate. He became hitting truly some living house runs before this communication in any case. the in reality issue in his way is his swing. His swing has lengthy gone to the bottom of his waist and he needs a putting curveball to hit out. i imagine he will retire after this year with 731 homers, and he will make certain his knee won't be able to address yet another year.

with or with out the steroid allegations Bonds is still a great player and will be remembered as that.
i feel that Bonds deserves the record, that's my opinion like it or not that's just the way it is and will be. M.L.B. will do nothing to stop Bonds and will congratulate him when he brakes the record.

Jeers. MLB has said that they won't plan or do anything special if the seriod king does do it. They only way baseball is going to react is by putting an * next to his name in the record books.
