It's different. I think it would depend on how well it would go with your last name. It is a big responsibility to decide on a name for someone as it is something most will have for the rest of their life. A few things to think about are what kind of nickname it will likely result in (ie Ossi) and whether or not you would like that version, what will the initials end up being (ie Steven Ossimer Baker = SOB). The list goes on. Personally I like the name Ossimer - it has a pleasant sound and it's different. Good luck.

Definitely a middle name. And can be used around friends/family as Ossi for a nick! As a first name, it's not really the best choice. But be careful with initials!

Hmmm, I don't really like it. It sounds kind of like a medical condition to me. But if you like it, that is what counts. I agree with the person who said that it may be a good middle name.

when you Google it a page shows up that says "do you mean Gossimer"
I really don't like the sound of the name. It sounds weird coming off the tongue

I don't like it. What does it even mean or is it one of those names without a meaning?

I personaly like it, but it is very unique and the kind of name that the child will get teased at school for. Please consider that issue.
