What was the musical guest that played on that same show? She was a single woman with a jazz band backing her. Her vocals were almost drowned out by the jazz band, my mom really liked her music.

Her names Lily Allen. She's an English Pop artist. Your right about the band drowning her out, I could barely hear her. I'd never heard of her before her appearance on SNL.
