I made a kinda short clip with Windows Movie Maker, and want to burn it so that anyone can load it into their DVD players and watch.

Does this mean I can't write an AVI or WMV file onto a Video CD?
Then what would be the best way to create a Video CD?

I don't have a DVD burner, so I guess I can't use that Wondershare DVD Slideshow Builder.

You can't burn a DVD-compatible file using a CD-R. You can write a file that computers can understand, but not DVD players.

The only thing you can do with your CD-R drive which is compatible with most DVD players is to make a video CD. This format allows you to put a "slide show" of pictures along with sound on a CD-R which can be played on most DVD players. It does not, unfortunately, allow you to put movie clips on them. You need a DVD burner for that.

Good news though: you can get an internal DVD burner for around $40...

Use DVD Flick to convert to mini-DVD format (based on CD), 700 MB size, and burn using it too. It is all-in-one tool and free.
