This book was fantastic, absolutely loved it!!!
I loved how the character of IT first appears differently to all the characters- it made it very scary that IT knows their worst fears
The character description in the book is amazing, I felt like I was in the story and I knew everything about these people
And the battle between IT and the children as they try to survive and only have each other is what makes this one of the best books out there

I read this book in 8th grade, and I loved it. It was scary, and I like the movie as well. I am a big fan of Stephen King. I finally have some time to read all the other books I've wanted to. I just finished "Eyes of the Dragon" and I loved that. Next up is "Bag of Bones."
Maybe the person who didn't like it just doesn't care for the way King wrote that book. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Even Stephen King's "bad" books are good. Some are better than others, but in my view, if it is written by him, you can't miss. I have been a Constant Reader since 'Salem's Lot. I miss the notes from him to us, and wish he would add them again.
"It", I thought, was a very good book. King's usual bone chilling style was at the forefront in it. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The monster was a bit of a stretch, but King manages to pull it off without too much of a hitch.
His latest, "Cell", was not as good as some of his others. The ending was rather wanting, but still a decent and quick read for a rainy day.

I am a big Stephen King fan and can say that "It" is one of my faves from him. I dont think it necessarily scared me though. However, the ending was not so great. He has other novels that I feel are better though. "Misery", "Salems Lot" "The Shining" are a few that I enjoyed more. "The Dark Tower" series was absolutley awesome story telling, its downfall though is that the ending of the last book in the series was VERY disappointing. His recent works I have not enjoyed as much though. The only exception being "Cell" which was pretty good.

I really thought it was a good book. Very creepy and made you truly care for the characters. Stephen King is always a "must-read" for me.Somehow I still haven't read "From a Buick 8" (or is that "8 From a Buick") & couldn't really get into "Desperation" even though I finished it.

It was hard to get into in the beginning, but then it picked up and was hard to put down. It was very scary, and the movie was very close to the book although not as scary.

I have the book and I've seen the film. I love Stephen King's works except for the-aliens-did-it part (which comprises most of his works).

Yes, "It" scared me; I thought it was good but agree that it was slow; that is just someones opinion we all have one and you do not have to agree or disagree for that matter.
