Chicago can be great and how much you make is up to you, the police are fine, but you must have a license. It is found on State street from Lake to Jackson.
On a visit to California The Promenade in Santa Monica had some great performers, than were drowning in dollar bills on a friday .

I live in NY and they don't compare to Boston -- especially Cambridge (around the Harvard Square T stop) or in Boston Common. Tracy Chapman, for example, used to sing on the streets in Cambridge...
NY has characters on the streets but they aren't street performers...

Los Angles in California, It's a great city and the police their are ok..i guess...i've never had any prblems with them

you can go to either new york or Phila on south street it is full of street performers and cops are always their on the beat
