First pregnancy, nothing unusual: went through phases with strawberries, bananas, and white bread.
Second pregnancy: white bread again, then a MEGA spinach craving during the middle of it. Turned out I was mildly anaemic... the body is very clever in that way, if it needs something you crave it!
This pregnancy: I've done the white bread thing again (this is always during the nausea phase and is the only thing that clears it up). Since then, just avocado. I'm trying to keep it to 1 a day but I could eat more if I wasn't trying to watch my food intake a bit.

Funny enough I had this discussion with a friend last night, I craved Curries with my first, the hotter the better, with my second it was pancakes and this really sickly fizzy drink. My friend who has 7 children always craved "fumes" petrol, thinners, glue, she even peeled varnish off tins and chewed on that, as well as eating loads of ice. All her cravings stopped when she went onto iron supplements, and I hasten to add all the children are fit and healthy! Im hoping with my next, the other half gets the cravings for a change!
Good luck with the baby X

With my first i had a huge ice craving and used to sit in the bath crunching away on them as the feel of water was the best! When i gave birth i went completely off ice then. I did have an iron deficiency they link to ice craving tho. Now with my second, it is red apple slices. I go through bags and bags of it and if i run out i just have to go buy more. Green apples are too bitter i am finding but they will do if i run out of red. Also, this is bizarre, i crave the smell of the clean bath sponge and will sniff it for hours! I am thinking of it being one of my calming remedies in labour. Also i go crazy for doing the washing up and feeling the washing up scourer in my hands and hot and cold water. Although i never eat it, i also cant get enough of the smell of bathroom cleaner and cleaning with a cleaning sponge is my fave pursuit! I know, i am crazy! Enjoy your tom sauce! I have heard it is good for you as tom sauce has cancer fighting ingredients in. :)

With my first pregnancy the first craving I had was for tinned mushrooms, then it was supernoodles, then I couldnt get enough of ice and I loved the smell of cleaning products and the feel of sponges (I even liked to chew on the sponges lol). This time I havent really had any yet, I did really want a banana last night though.

I craved oranges but had to eat them with the skin on just like apples. That a tinned spaghetti. Kids all turned out OK though so I should not worry, just go with it.

With my first it was the "crispy chicken deluxe" from mcdonalds...That was 10 yrs ago and I still cannot eat one!
With this one it is a lot different...oranges, avacados, my homemade meatloaf, and gummy bears. And yesterday I woke up with an intense craving for Eggs Benedict so I went to IHOP for dinner and had them but they weren't even very good.

My worse craving so far has been banana pudding! I could eat it for days! I normally don't eat bananas! The other day at work I would have KILLED for a Coke! The vending machine was out, so my boss went to Sonic to get me one! I don't even like Coke! Other cravings have included orange popcicles, lasagna, baked beans.... it's weird!

I crave sweet fruits like pears and kiwis. I also crave Italian food, but unfortunately it doesn't agree with me. Feel lucky that you can have tomato sauce. I wish I could.

I was one of the unlucky few that threw up through out my pregnancy even when in labour. My craving started at 30 weeks and it was for cement or anything dusty !
