this just started happening now and i was wondering if anyone knew what it meant when i hit the power button to start it it makes a high pitch beep and lasts for about 2-3 seconds if you now anything about it PLEASE tell me i have all my work on my cmoputer, thanx

For many systems, this is just a internal speaker sound check when the system boots up.

May be a power or RAM issue. Try to re-seat all the cards and RAM chips. If this does not fix the problem, search for POST beep codes for your motherboard.

here are some things that should fix this issue.

1)
go to bios and set everything to default settings( by pressing F9)

2) unplug everything from the back of the computer, and plug it back in. to reset connection.

3) unplug the keyboard and turn the computer on, if no noise get new keyboard. or one of the key may get stuck.

and last open your computer and take the RAM out and Put it back in.

No need to worry.Its your bios booting up and the beep is telling you that the system has just past "POST" set up.But you should have been hearing this all the time.It may need checking out.Hope this helps.

its normal but you should check if your sounds working.

its simple you just need to push your memory module and screen card hard to the slot
