i am asking this question because my computer is going extremely slow because of this?

If, it a java script you got from a Web-Site you may try top of browser; Tools > Internet Options > Delete Files
And check Off Line Content if a box open.
But, most times these scripts give a popup, or change your home address to (Example; www.1yahoo.com) or something and it easy to know it a java script. It really not just slow a computer down.

You can DISABLE it in your browser, but short of removing the
browser you aren't going to get rid of it.

However, it should only be a performance problem with web
sites that actively use it.

Your system performance is probably due to some other problem
such as viruses, spyware, etc.
