Nobody can really answer this question for you, but yourself because it's a matter of personal preference. Go to a music shop and play some different guitars to get an idea of what fits you best. The answer to this question should be clear once you do that.

Gibson! I like the Gibson SG because Angus Young plays them!
But if you mostly play Slash songs-Get the Gibson Slash sig. model

Although a Gibson is more synonomous with slash I don't think you can beat a limited edition fender strat- yes it's norigional but millions off people can't be wrong! *grins* buy the strat dammit! (in dark blue looks neat)

you like an Amp, (good ones start up approximately a hundred), a cord to connect the amp to the guitar, and the guitar itself. electric powered guitars often start up at approximately a hundred-a hundred and fifty and that they are no longer undesirable for beginning. sure you ought to use the comparable %.. The cord to connect the two is like 10 greenbacks.

it would have helped if u said what price range u are in.....but if u want a good guitar, id get an epiphone g-400 or a fender....or an ibanez...
