This is a case that I could write about forever,so I will try and narrow it down,The American citizens that know about this are outraged, many still dont even know.and of course theres some people who think theres no way justice could have been tampered with.Because thousands of americans wrote their senators asking that Ramos and Campeopn be released or at least a lighter sentence, since the drug smuggler got amnesty and sued tax payers. Sutton sent congress a letter full of BS,to send out to all concerned, and of course it made him look like he was in the right. However Sutton is now under investigation for trying to cover up the fact that the drug smuggler got cought with a 2nd load of drugs.According to both reports, Aldrete-Davila brought a second load of 752 pounds of marijuana across the border in bales packed in a 1990 Chevy Astro van he drove Oct. 22, 2005.Americas Most Wanted did a story on this case before sutton was under investigation, and they reported the story very well. And one more detail Johnny Sutton was ex adviser to Bush, maybe the reason Bush is avoiding this travesty on our heros.Heres a few links that might interest you.......

Having been in a similar situation, Yes, it bothers the heck out of me.

I see what's going on. Federal Prosecutors all want to be Federal Judges and they think that they can do that by making a name for themselves as a crusader against injustice. Cops are the easiest targets.

The federal prosecutor in Rochester, back in the 70s, took statements against convicted felony drug dealers and used those statements to indict 4 of my fellow officers. They were suspended for well over a year and had a dark cloud over them forever, but in the end, all of the Federal Charges were PROVEN to be bogus at trial and all charges were dismissed. Even the Vice-Mayor of the City at that time, Midge Costanza, believed in these men and even hosted fundraisers to pay for their defense. You may remember Midge because she became an advisor to Jimmy Carter in the White House so you can say that she was not exactly a Conservative. She's a hero to a whole lot of us.

Johnny Sutton should be horsewhipped.

Yes, it bothers me. This whole thing was a trumped up load of crap. These BP Officers were 100% railroaded into getting 10 year prison sentences, when they might have had some disciplinary action at most.
Sutton even went to Mexico and granted immunity for the scumbag drug runner to get him to testify against our BP officers.
One, Ramos I think, has already been beaten up by a bunch of Illegal criminals and the guards did nothing. Law enforcement prisoners arent supposed to be in the general population for just that reason.
I think the weasel that prosecuted them shoud be deported to Mexico himself, the bastard, and Bush needs to get off his *** and pardon these guy's.
I also heard that the same drug runner was caught again bringing dope into the US.
This is bad when we punish people for doing their jobs, and coddle criminals like this.
It smacks of Liberalism.

He is only jailing those who do not do their jobs. And it seems to me that the people jailed have a right to a trial, unlike those that the "officers" decided didn't need one. If a jury can find them guilty, then the prosecutor has done his job properly under the full protection of the law. What is wrong with that?

Oh my god. i've got heard all of it now. it is unquestionably loopy. reformatory is for people wo have achieved something that they are conscious is faulty. Animals don't be attentive to authentic from incorrect. it particularly is no longer in basic terms like the donkey is going to be status interior the cellular thinking "Oh my gosh, what have I achieved?? Now i'm going to never get a sturdy interest and function the potential to help my kin".Its thoroughly absurd!

It certainly should bother EVERYONE.
However I'm sure those crusaders for justice and fairness, the ACLU, will jump in and protect them from this kind of malicious preversion of the justice system, right?
No?
I guess they're too busy leading the charge AGAINST these victims that are being scapegoated for performing their sworn duty (that and ensuring soft sentances for child rapists, making sure Jesus stays off public - and private - property, making sure taxpayers shell out for illegal alien benefits...you know, all the wonderful JUST causes they represent.)

I agree your right he was doing his job, but he went over board which was criminal. It's called using excessive force of which there was no need for what he did. He wasn't defending himself in any way he was acting more like a damn stormtrooper officers like that we don't need.
