I heard a lot of people getting pregnant as soon as they get off the pill. Don't think you should have a problem. :) Good luck....

It shouldn't have an affect on your fertility.
I was on the pill for 13 years. I came off it and after 2 months had unprotected sex ONCE and I got pregnant!

It might take a little while for your cycle to return to normal. 80% of women who come off the pill ovulate again within 3 months and 95% within 6 months. The best sign of whether you are ovulating is whether or not you are having periods. If you are having regular periods, then you are most likely ovulating and should be able to get pregnant.
Because it can take a while for cycles to return to normal, it is best to let yourself have one proper period before you start trying. That way your pregnancy can be dated much easier. And if you start trying before you periods have returned you won't know when to test because you won't know whether you are late or not.

Take your vitamins as soon as you start trying - a pregnancy multivit. That will also improve your chances of conceiving.

It is recommended that you then use contraception such as condoms for 3 months and preferably 6 months this allows for your natural hormone regulation and ovulation. Oral contraceptive pill is associated with vitamin and mineral imbalance that may need correcting. To reduce the risk of neural tube defects it is recommended to take supplement folic acid prior to conception and during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy (DoH, 2000). Also use this time to eat a well balanced diet an optimal BMI for maximum fertility for producing a healthy normal baby appears to be 23.

there is no scientific evidence to suggest that going on a pill for a long time will affect your chances, personally i think it may take a couple of months for your body to adjust to having periods rather than withdrawal bleeds, and then everything should be normal, the pills itself should not affect it!

good luck!!! x x

It shouldn't do, no, although it can take up to a year for your cycle to get back to normal.
