I was looking at a bunch of used cars and most of them were stick shifts, but also had curse control. I know that when your car is set to curse control it also up and down shifts for you, so how does it work if your car has curse control and a stick shift?

Cars that swear...I hate when that happens......so uncivilized. Must be a Ford.

Gee, I didn't know cars had a feature that could control your swearing! Does it keep you from cussing out the guy who pulls out in front of you or who won't use his turn signals?

I think you mean "cruise control"

The cruise system simply adjusts the throttle/fuel control to maintain the set-speed. It will not shift. Therefore if the speed is too slow the engine will lug or if too fast the transmission will scream.

The cruise will cut off when you step on the clutch to change gears or the brakes to slow down.

Does the same thing only is not capable of downshifting for you, so it lugs a little. And like the automatic cancels when you brake, the stick shift cruise will cancel when you step on clutch also.

My car has cruise control, even though I often curse it.
