Good luck. It's freaking 500/600 bucks and that's with a 2 year subscription. I wonder how much it's going to be if you don't want the 2 year subscription, a thousand bucks.
I don't think there really is any way to convince your parents to spend 500/600 bucks on a cell phone, but try telling them that it's an iPod with cell phone capabilities, and you really want an iPod for your birthday or Christmas or whatever. Tell them that it's a 2 in 1 machine, so that's why it's so expensive. Or trick them into promising to get you an iPhone without letting them know the actual price.

Notice the word "want" and take into account that you want it, not need it. For that reason, consider saving up some money and buying one yourself. Your parents don't need to get you every little thing you want.
But if you feel that you really need one, and the money your parents spend on it would really go to good use, explain to them why you want it, and how it will pay off to buy one. Offer to do some extra work around the house so that they will buy it. And be very nice... If you yell, they definitely won't want to give one to you.
