Some of the questions you may run into are:
Why do you want this job?
What qualifications do you have OR what makes you a good choice for this position?
they may also ask you something more specific like:
Tell me about your last job, what did you like?
what didn't you like?
Out of all your jobs who was your favorite employer or boss?
" " your least favorite boss?
What are your strengths?
etc... etc...
What you need to do is think about what you want to say... even write notes if you think it will help and make sure what you say is relevant to the postition. For example when mentioning your strengths you wouldn't want to talk about your painting skills if you were applying for a position within a restaurant. You would want to say things that are true but appealing to your employer. For instance " I am quick, i have a good memory, i get along well with other people, i know how to deal with customers that are unhappy. I am reliable, etc." You can give examples of how you may have displayed these things in your last job, but keep them short and to the point.
As for the question of your weaknesses. You don't want to mention something that will make you look like a bad candidate. Don't say you're a perfectionist... they hear that a million times a day. You can say something that maybe isn't so great but be sure to mention that you are working on solving the problem... they like to know that you're improving.
For example you could say:
"I tend to take on too much at once, but i'm working on finishing one project at a time which makes sure that each project gets completed instead of 3/4 done"
"I can procrastinate a little bit, but i'm working on picking one aspect of the project and finishing that... once i get one part done i'm more motivated to finish the rest."
- It doesn't really matter what you say as long as they know you've started to improve on your weaknesses. It's best not to mention anything like you get angry at other employees or anything that might really turn them off from you.
Good luck and i hope you do well. Just remember to breathe... think carefully about the question and then answer in a way that you're appealing to your employer without completly lying.

Honest answers are the only way to go, otherwise you won't be able to talk about them, how they affect you and what you are doing about them. An employer would rather you say something honest (like you bite off more than you can chew sometimes) and how you have been working on fixing it (by saying no to someone when your plate is already full). If you lie, it is likely your prospective employer see it.
Sit down and write out all the strengths you have, then write down all the weaknesses. What weaknesses do you have when it comes to your professional life? Take an honest look at your professional (or college) work background. Are you a procrastinator when you feel overwhelmed? Do you have problems with saying "no" to people when they ask for assistance?
The theory is, if you aware of the weakness and are able to admit it, then you are working to overcome it.
Good luck on the job interview.

The fashion nowadays is "behavioral interviewing". These are questions thta often start with "Tell me about a time when...". For example, "Tell me about a time you were given a project but not enough time or resources to finish the job".
What the interviewer is looking for is:
Situation: What happenned? What was happenning that led to the situation.
Action: What did you do in response and be specific. Stay away from statement like "What I would normally do is...". Tell them what you actually did.
Outcome: Link the situation and your actions to a positive outcome (or if it was a failure, then tell what you learned)

You need to know some information about the company. This will show that you are interested to work there. You need to tell them what they want to hear, don't lie, but don't try to be more catholic then the pope.
There are excellent books out there that show how to prepare for an interview. You can also search online for that kind of information. Dress professionally , you want to project an image that will reflect the company. Good luck!

Be honest but don't dwell on your weaknesses. Answer simply. Go more indepth only when asked as so you don't appear self absorbed.

try to turn your weaknesses into good - for instance, saying that your weakness is "not being able to say no to people that need help". . . it's a good weakness to have that shows willingness to help others ;) . . .
it's quite a popular question.
this answer seems to be a good hit ;) . . .

ummm.... well usually to a question like that i think of what my weak points are and tell them why i think they are a weak point and how i work to fix or counteract them. but none of us can tell you what your weak points are, you have to think about that yourself.
