What? Go to AA or NA and mix with drunks and junkies?

When you can go to the Priory to be treated like a pampered brat in the lap of luxury, then give an exclusive interview to OK or Hello to cover the cost?

And if morons keep buying these magazines, why not?

If a star went to AA or NA they would never get in or the entire AA class would be filled with paparazzi and press photographers just getting a cheap story to sell more advertising. Could you imagine Robbie Williams trying to get to an AA meeting. He wouldnt be able to get in the door.
They go private as they know that is the only way they can get treatment for the problem without somebody trying to let the whole world watch them.

These expensive places offer more privacy & anonymity. Naturally there's this prestige thing that celebrities want to be associated with rather than the common public.

It's a better class of rehab. We get the NHS version, they get a treatment similar to what we get when we go private.

they should spend money at the start of fame to go to learn how to say no to drink, drugs, ect.
