I just bought a new halter. The halter where you can get your horses name on the nosepiece but the clip to take the halter on and off is really stiff. I have trouble getting it off. Is there anyway I can loosen it besides just time and use?

It will probably get easier to use as it gets broken in, sorry but sometimes thats pretty much the only way to do it, otherwise try some oil or water to loosen up but be careful not to use too much. =)

Maybe try some WD40 on it.

Somehow I doubt the horse can or will eat a halter it is wearing.

Is it you ar your partner with this problem, you could try slimming, sometimes if you get a bit rounder in the face it helps, we had this problem espeially affter a long session, we now find the crop has the same effect and there is not any hassle afterwards,

Just work it, you may try water, but don't put it on the horse wet. I can't think of anything but trying to wear the nylon.

Don't use WD40, it is toxic to horses
