PS2 Gameshark?

So my friend bought one for our PS2 the other day, and I gotta ask... are we not using this thing right, or is it just the most worthless piece of shite developed? It's down there with Microsoft... seriously. Is there actually a way to *select* the cheats you want, or do you just highlight the game and start it? Waste of $20.

once you've highlighted the game you want, press the right button on your controller. then you can select the codes individually, just check the manual, that normally helps
