meditation can really help youth to lead a disciplined life . Gurus like Sri Sri Ravishankar, Sri Ramdev and a few others are already working towards this. Sri V Vivekananda Kendra is doing a pioneering work towards target ting the youths. Many camps have been organised for this cause. It has been scientifically proved that meditation helps to lower b.p. and heart rate.Tihar jail is conducting meditation courses for their inmates. Many corporate offices give training in yoga & meditation to their employees.

No. I've never heard of medication being used to discipline people. Youngster need role models and plenty of active sports to get involved in.

Meditation is definately not necessary, but it might help. But only if the youngster wants to meditate.
Through meditation you can find your inner strength, learn more self controll, feel more relaxed, find some inner peace. So yes, it might help, but only if it is voluntairy and not forced upon.

Sure, mediation could help some. By giving them room to reflect and contemplate it would very well help some regulate destruptive behaviour patterns. But mediation alone will not solve all problems, and in some it will have no effect whatsoever.
