Most old pianos are worth about as much as the cost to haul them away. If you really want to get rid of it, consider donating it to a school or charity organization. Tell them they are welcome to have it if they can come pick it up. It's an easy way to get rid of it, and you can use it as tax write-off.

Donate the piano to a local school or call the your local Salvation Army, St. Vincent dePaul Society, or any not for profit organization that can sell it.

Search net with piano info or check like items on EBAY. Find a price, and call piano store and offer it to them for half the price...Just sold mine for 500 bucks...no moving, no hassle.
