Won Big East tournament with 23 pt win over Pitt. (Held Pitt to its lowest point total in 38 years!)

Have Big East Player of the Year in Jeff Green.

Finished strong winning 15 of last 16 games.

But Georgetown has NEVER gotten fair treatment by the selection committee.

You can't put Wisconsin AND Ohio State ahead of Georgetown. The big ten is bad, outside of them. If Kansas or UCLA played in the Big East, what would their record be?

Florida lost 3 of 4 a week ago. Let's at least wait to see if they beat Arkansas before annointing them with a top seed.

Georgetown is finishing strong. That is supposed to count.

I keep hearing people say that GU will make the final 4 but they don't deserve a #1 seed. WTF????

Sorry, UCLA didn't make their tournament final - they don't deserve a #1 seed.

The Hojas do not need all those seeding to prove that they are good. We all know that they are, they play great defense and great offense. They will win it all, that will give people a reason to give them # 1 seed.

For Georgetown to get a #1, there have to be three or fewer teams better than them. You're telling me at least 4 of UCLA, Kansas, Ohio St, Wisconsin, Florida, and North Carolina don't have a better resume than the Hoyas? Forget about it.

Not trying to sound like a suckup.. I LOVE YOU
Hoya paranoia is back and I've been a fan since the beggining of Craig Eshrick's awful 5 years as a head coach. The hoyas definetly deserve the number 1 seed, but if they dont get it I won't mind so much as long as they play in East Rutherford and get a chance to get a revenge game in against Florida.

No, If this replaced into the championship interest, then i could say particular yet enable the record coach interior the final 3 weeks UConn has 3 losses. i do no longer think they're deserving of a variety one seed - If the huge east gets 2 it may of direction be Louisville, in the event that they win the huge East journey and Pittsburgh because of the fact they have crushed UConn two times this 365 days. yet the two are very deserving of #2 Seeds.

Not quite...

A few teams are more deserving...pending the outcomes today...

Ohio State- Win or lose they are a #1 seed
Kansas- same as above
Wisconsin- #1with win today or good game
Florida- Have to win today
Memphis- A #1 seed if Florida loses

Georgetown is a long shot...

I have to disagree. I belive they get a number one seed. so they lost a couple games, so has duke, ucla, north carolina, wisconsin, and ohio. They deserve it this year and will get it!! My pick with ohio.

No, they gave up a HUGE lead to Nova, getting crushed to ND but came back, and PITT is terrible. When they play better teams, they wont be able to win

they won't and probably don't deserve a number one, they have some less-than-stellar losses out of conference to teams to old dominion and duke and in conference to syracuse...yes they played in a very good conference, but there are so many teams this year that it's hard to call georgetown a number one type team
