so life stories of tony blair may be non-fictional whereas the ugly duckling is a fiction story

um... i think you're trying to say,
"what does "information book" or "non-fiction book" mean?"
well, it means that the stuff in the book isn't made up, and that everything is true.
opposite: fiction book, fantasy, etc. they're made up stories, mostly for entertainment.

non fiction means it is about something that is real and exists. it is still more a of a story. informational is meant to inform, or to teach how to do something.
