I'm not sure..me and my husband have different kinds of work. He is in the Army so it can be really tough especially on deployments, but then he has periods of inactivity as well. Mine is part time typing at home and it's really layed back, but I do most of the house work, kids, cooking, etc. My husband helps too, but majority I will do. I would say it all evens out in the end.

My husband hands down!! He is very active and fixes everything, we rarely hire people to do any kind of home or auto repair.

Yes, I work outside the home, I am a mail carrier, have been for 12 years, and only at Christmas can I honestly say that I work harder. My hubby is a Project Manager, and while his job is not physical like mine, it is much harder mentally, and much more stressful. Plus his commute is 30 miles, mine is two miles.

I am not married but have lived with a guy for 2.5 years (now over) and he certainly did the bulk of the work. If he failed to do what I told him I would give him a good spanking. We did also have some domestic help but the girl was not capable to do all the manual duties, my boyfriend looked after the garden, saw to any DIY jobs and took out the rubbish etc. If it was a big job we got someone in to do the work.
If I have a guy over to visit now I am single I expect him to pull his weight too. I still get some domestic help in too.
Before anyone suggests, I am not lazy. I work 12 hours plus 6 days a week and I earn a good salary. I want to enjoy my free time.

Although my husband is indeed a hard working man, I feel I take the trophy when it comes to working harder. I am very fortunate to stay home and care for my 3 children and run my house. In cooking, cleaning, caring for the kids, laundry and running the errands it is an endless job. In addition, I clean two daycare centers on weekends for extra money. I still have to care for the house and kids in addition.

I do. I work from 7:30 - 5:00 then I come home and start my other full time job, taking care of the family. Some days can be really stressful. I do have to say though my husbands works a hard labor job and he does work swing shift.

Me. Both of us work 40 hours outside the house. I am the one that cooks, cleans, does laundry, & takes care of him when he is sick. He pays the bills and watches TV while I do the rest. Neither of us sits behind a desk. We both have jobs that involve physical labor.
