after I tell them I have no interest in marriage or any long term relationship.....They still insist I will change my mind....I WILL NOT! I am 40 ish and NEVER want to marry and be tied down. Women may need that committment but most of us MEN DO NOT! But still it always happens....these married neighbors of mine always trying to set me up.....can't they take the hint that I enjoy my bacholer lifestyle or do they want me to be miserable like them in marriage?

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.
However little known the feelings or views of such a man may be on his first entering a neighbourhood, this truth is so well fixed in the minds of the surrounding families, that he is considered as the rightful property of some one or other of their daughters.

If they can't understand your direct answers that you are very happy, then make up a lie and tell them you are in a relationship. It sounds as though you might be close with your neighbors. Just try telling them you are happy being single for the time being and if you ever find that you change your mind, then you will ask them to set you up with one of their single friends.

It is a fact that the women that keep trying to set you up with their friends are attracted to you and they want to live sexually with you through their friends. FACT brother. You must be a stud. Enjoy it. Bone them all (the friends they set you up with) and let the rest of the ladies hear about it.

I do not know, I would not even try to be your friend, much less try to set you up with anyone. Most of the men that I know are very happily married, they love their wives and children, you most certainly do not represent "most men", you are in a small minority. Enjoy all your STD's

They know what their friends interests are and they think you would be interested in them, that is all. they really don't want you to be alone for the rest of your life, because they, themselves, can't imagine being alone since they are connected with someone...I don't think they mean any harm for the most part...They care about you and worry about you...

Cos odd numbers at the dinner table mess things up......
Only joking!
Maybe they think you are sad inside and putting on a brave face......
Maybe they think they are helping........
Maybe they need to have a cause in their boring lives and you are it........
By the way, marriage can be great - honestly!

They cannot stand to see a single happy man. It goes against their nature.
