I just slipped on the stairs and landed on my behind, more like on 1 side (my thigh) im not worried about the pain from the bruise, but im feeling little sharp twinges in my lower abdomen( i guess where the uterus is) I have no bleeding and the pain isnt bad, do you think it could just be the pubic/pelvis area thats hurting and not where the baby actually is? My mom told me that I should lay down and see what happens. Shoudl i be really worried considering theres no bleeding? I know if it gets worse ill be calling the doc, just wanted to see if this ever happened to anyone before, and any opinions.

It is not necessary tht u will bleed aftr u fell down,go 2 ur doctor & tell her abt the pain atleast she will give u the correct advice & examine u,if needed u can also get ultrasound 2 chk if everything is ok with ur baby.thou the fetus is well protected inside but then can u ever think of taking any chance with ur baby(precious of all).My advice will b:-
Don't take any chance go ASAP & all ur worries will b over/u will not like 2 regret later jst think fr a while & decide wht u want 2 do........?.
Take care...............& good luck.

I don't think a fall like that should hurt your baby. Your body has been made to protect a baby from just such falls. The pain you are feeling is likely your abdominal wall stretching to accomodate baby. The baby grows in super spurts and sometimes the streching of the tendon and ligiments hurts. It feels like a sharp little pain in the pelvic area to one side or the other or both. It's normal although it can be uncomfortable. It happens a lot early on in pregnancy. Bleeding would indicate a proplem, I mean like heavier bleeding not spotting. If you are worried call your doctor anyway, if anything, to ease your mind. Good luck and have a beautiful baby! Babies ruin everything in the most beautiful way!

I am sure your little baby is fine. But what would it hurt to call. Recently lost a baby at 16 weeks. And i always ask myself what if, or why i didnt. had went to the emegerncy room and they said everything was fine. But i had a inside feeling telling me it wasnt. In a matter of days my heart was broken.
im a mother of four. Had taken carrying a baby for something that was easy to do.loved every minute of it. But didnt realize how fragile carrying a life was. will never hesitate to call the doctor agin. Not trying to scare you, just wanted to say it will not hurt. you have precious cargo. have a happy pregancy and easy delivery.

I would suggest calling your OBGYN soon and having an ultrasound to ease your mind.
Most likely you are just sore from the fall but it's always better to get checked by a doctor than not in this sort of situation.

:) Hope you and your baby are ok.

You'll be fine. The fetus is so well protected inside of you and a fall will not be a threat. Just relax and put some ice on your bruise.

You should call the doctor now actually. You shouldn't be on here asking us this question. This is very serious. You need to call your doctor.
