Benjamin Franklin created it. He was alarmed by how much coal and how many trees were burned. He surmised that if the time were changed, sunlight would be used instead of wood and coal in the mornings for lighting, and people would go to work without using so much fuel. Because of his innovation, we have saved more natural resources from this one action than all other conservationist actions combined.

I'm not real sure, but it was really strange for our family to move from California, where we had to "Spring-Forward" and "Fall-Back" every year with our clock's ,....too living in Arizona, where it isn't done at all..!!!! You want to talk about strange!! When we first moved here, we were all like are you sure we dont have to set our clock's back, or forward, around those times of year? Because I never wanted to be too late, or too early for work, you know.. It's always been a daylight saving-time thing, to save as much daylight for those states that do it, as possible, I dont or can't think of any other reason, why it is done, except to save as much of the day as possible,... But , here in Arizona, we get so much darn sunshine, that I believe is the reason for not having to do our clock's, up or back, you know... So, I'm thinking its all about saving the day!! Smile!!!

Congress started it during WWII to save electricity. Farmers don't like it because the cows can't tell time and want to be milked the same time every day. Our electronic equipment uses satellites to change time. they receive the signal to change and our devices get the message. they're programmed that way. I wish it would stay the same year round.
