Due to the idea of me starting guitar from my questions on yahoo anwers, I started teaching myself guitar yesterday. I have a book that doesnt explain a whole lot. I know chords: Em, C, D, G but want to know how to read tabs, more chords etc, Any ideas and tips? Note: I have ALOT of music experience and can read sheet music ( i play violin, clarinet, flute, piano, recorder, ETC

Learn your major and minor scales, those are very handy for the blues and rock. Once you know your scales you can pretty much create your own chords. Try and stay away from tabs, thats really for people that can't read music. And remember power chords and bar chords are your friend.

be patient and keep playing it,, apply knowing what you already,, HINT: one of the things you already know discipline is the key :):) oh and have fun :):):)

go to guitar.com and look into that for a spell too.
