hey i believe doctors earn more but some dentists who are specialized in (orthodontics or prosthetics) can earn kinda more money than Gp doc. and by the way we refere to them both as doctors

I believe that dentist do earn more money compare to GP unless that Doctor is a specialist . I believe that GP are capped at $450,000. a year where dentist aren't capped at all on their earnings and that is the rule in Canada and we are loosing good Doctor going the US were there isn't any cap on their salaries for the Doctors

Being a dentist is apparently one of the Most stressful professional occupations as what you do ALL day is cause people pain, not intentionally, as the purpose is to relieve that pain, but usually you need to hurt them to accomplish that.
GP's or other Doctors aren't always causing the pain, they spend more time trying to relieve it

depends...
if you are trying to decide what you want to do, id say go with dentist. on average id say a dentist would make less, but doctors work ALOT longer. orthodontics is also a great field.

According to Money magazine and Salary.com, doctors make a lot more money than dentists (using 2005-6 data):
Doctors average pay: $247,536
Dentists average pay: $122,883
