They picked up a defensive line-man, but they let Winstrom go...they picked up two safety's but looks like Hamlin could go..

I thought they needed an offensive line-man because they never really replaced Steve Hutchinson.

What would you concentrate now on getting to improve the Hawks for the draft? How about a quarterback and let Wallace play wide-receiver?

Your thoughts on the Hawks....will they be able to compete next season...they will have a lot of games against division leaders....are they on the right track?

The seahaws have demonstrated a rich history in terms of proclivity for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Next season will be no different.

The NFC West is still a joke, so I expect the Seahawks will again coast into the division championship with a 10-6 or even another 9-7 ought to do it. As for their defense, Deon Grant is the principal acquisition in my mind. Grant Wistrom was not a big loss and Patrick Kerney was not a big pickup. They traded one overpaid D-lineman for another. They've really got most of the pieces on defense (have for a few years now) with guys like Lofa Tatupu, Julian Peterson, Marcus Trufant, Ken Hamlin if they keep him, a very underrated corner in Kelly Jennings, and the addition of Grant. The front four is the weakness (Marcus Tubbs must stay healthy) and I maintain that signing Kerney didn't really address it. That's the only place on the defensive side of the football I could see them going in the draft. They've already got Seneca Wallace and David Green waiting to take over for Matt Hasselbeck, and Wallace is little more than a present-day Kordell Stewart; it may be fun to watch him play other positions, but quarterback is where belongs. Depending of course on the talent available by their pick, I see offensive line as the key priority. Steve Hutchinson's departure left a gap that was never really filled, Robbie Tobeck's now retired, and Walter Jones isn't getting any yougner (turned 33 in January). I'd like to see them take at least one running back as well - Shaun Alexander turns 30 this season and the next time his contract is up I guarantee you he will NOT be coming off an MVP year. I'm no draft mocker, so I have no real concept of who will be available when, but if a high-rated OL is on the board in the first for the Hawks that's where I'd like to see them go.

The Seahawks are gonna do well next season. Defense is going to be superior this year. They started out dominate last year only to end up getting overplayed because the offense couldn't stay on the field. The health of the starters will be the deciding factor of the defense. The front seven has the potential to be the best in the league. The linebacker trio already is but the big uglies need to step it up and stay healthy. The secondary actually looks decent. Boulware, Grant, Russell, and Green at safety are pretty decent. Trufant, Jennings, Herndon, Babineaux at corner are pretty decent. Drafting guards and defensive backs are priority and getting a DE or DT is crucial also but only one. Multiple picks at guard and dback. Next year they should look for replacements for Jones, Hasselbeck and Alexander, that would give them enough time to groom them to replace the franchise players before they get old and not productive anymore. They are on the right track for now.

look at their division... they do have some GROWING teams but nothing to worry about for the seahawks as they win their division AGAIN and somewhat they do seam weaker. they may lose WR darrell jackson and no dominate left guard to replace hutchingson. however shaun alexander will be back into probowl shape and tatupu and peterson will take over the linebacker autimables and there defensive backs should be fine as long as they dont have injuries like last season v.s the cowboys in the playoffs

Not really, they still need Safety and DB/CB help. Patrick Kerney wont be able to change everything for that defense. He is up in age too.
