I took it, there was no side effects, but unfortunately, I really didn't see any increase in my milk supply. The only thing that really increased my milk supply was a prescription called "Reglan", which is a stomach relaxer. Unfortunately, it mad me drowsy. But it did increase by milk supply an incredible amount!

Good luck - I hope the Fengreek works for you - it's a more all natural solution!

Yes OMG it worked better then I needed. I have had four kids and I was never able to breastfeed exclusively because my milk supply and engorgement was an issue. So with my last baby I wanted to breastfeed as it would be the last time....After taking fenugreek (you get it at the GNC store and it is cheap) for one day my milk supply increased 150%. Give it a try....your urine may smell of maple syrup....and your milk may taste like it to your baby too.

I did. I'm not 100% sure it worked. It may have been the pumping I was doing. I know of some Mothers that sware by it. I had no side effects except the only capsules I could find had sage in it too, so I smelled like sage for a few months.

Yes I took them. I think it more of a psychological effect than anything else.
Your best bet for improving your milk supply is to feed your baby as often and for as long as she/he wants.
If this means every 1-2 hours, then so be it.
Get your latch checked by a professional (not a midwife or health visitor unless they have special qualification in supporting breastfeeding)

These work really well for a lot of moms. You may begin to notice that you smell a bit like maple syrup while taking them. They typical dosage is 3-4 capsules 3x per day. Please note that there are a few people who should NOT take fenugreek! See the link below for more info on that!

I know large amounts of fenugreek can be toxic for baby, Fennel tea increases milk supply and is completely safe so does and is raspberry leaf tea.
