If you are seriously thinking about having a child I hope you are sure about it and can provide for it fully.

As far as being on birth control and getting pregnant you would need to stop taking the birth control first.

Generally the doctors will say it takes 3-4 months to get pregnant (you're cycle has to regulate without the pills)
but I have a friend who wasn't even off the pill for a month and got pregnant. I've been off the pill for over 3 months now and still no pregnancy.
I think it really all depends on your cycle.

:) hope this is helpful.

You WANT to get pregnant but you're on birth control?? First of all you need to go off of the birth control before even considering getting pregnant.

If you want to get pregnant but are on birth control, the answer's easy... stop taking the birth control pills or have the IUD removed or whatever. If you WANT to be pregnant, that's the safest way..

stop taking the pill would be your fist step. If your period was pretty regular before the pill you can guestimate when you'll be ovulating, usually 14 days after your period.
Here's where you can find a good ovulation calculator ... parenthood.com ... it's in one of the top tabs
I did the same thing and got pregnant the first month off the pill. Good luck

talk to your doctor about getting off your birth control. Also, talk to the man in your life. it's not fair to get pregnant without talking about it with him first.

First you need to stop the birth control, then you need to have sex, that should work.
