Think of two sword fighters, standing back to back against several enemies. No one can sneak up behind the other without having to deal with the partner. They have each others back protected. If I say 'I got your back' that means don't worry about anything sneaking up on you, you can concentrate on the task in front of you, I will protect you.

"She got his back" means that he doesn't pay any attention to her. He's upset with her.
If you say "she has her back up" then it means she is being difficulty to get along with or she is contrary.
I guess this has localized meanings. ie. It depends where you live, it could have a different meaning.
