I'm nearly 32 weeks pregnant, and my baby kicks so hard that sometimes it really hurts, like a sharp pain. Sometimes she kicks near my ribs, too, and then it actually tickles!

I didn't get this at all with my first pregnancy, however, I did put on too much weight with my first, so that may be why.

I also get a squirming feeling right down low near my cervix, which I think may be her hands / arms. I told the doctor and he didn't seem worried.

Is all this normal? Has anyone else had anything similar?

Thanks!

Yes it's completely normal. My daughter does the same thing and sometimes it feels like she's dancing on my cervix. It's an amazing feeling though and I wouldn't trade it at all. Congratulations on your pregnancy, good luck and God bless.

Yes this is normal, thought my son was going to break my ribs sometimes... Your just going to have a big baby this time.. Or lets say this baby is bigger then your first one was.. Hope you dont get like I did tho.. I could not get a full nights sleep at the end because I would hurt so much... So have no fears.. Also this baby might come before the due date so get ready.. That is why your feeling the squirming down by your cervix... Good luck

I am 33 weeks pregnant and sometimes I feel like I am being bitten!! It's a sudden sharp pain.
The squirming feeling near your cervix is probably where your baby is head down and moving its head.

Any movements are good. Means your baby is doing well and is happy.
Be glad that the kicks near your ribs feel like tickles. My baby has his/her feet constantly stuck in my liver, which is really uncomfortable!

Yes all that is very normal. With my son I remember he would get right under my ribcage and try to kick around. Oh that wasn't pleasant at all ! I know it's a pain literally but you have just a few short weeks to go then you will have that baby in your arms. I got all the way till July lol. Congrats !!!

My little girl loves to kick me in my right side...and yes, sometimes it hurts enough to make my jump. lol. It looks funny b/c I'll just be sitting there, and then jump from the pain, and then I have to explain what happend to my husband that just sits there and stares at me like I did a magic trick or sumthing. lol. its totally normal. the baby is pretty big by then. Im 37 weeks, and my little girls movements have slowed down, but not stopped... and so now, she's a little nicer to mommy. lol. Good luck with your pregnancy and God bless!!!

Yes it is normal. I also had pains and my doctor called them growing pains. My son also would kick me up under my ribs and it would hurt. Sounds like you have a really active baby there. I wish you luck and hope you have a very healthy, happy baby.

Normal beyond belief LOL. Ask any woman who is or has ever been preg, and they will tell you the same thing...soon she will run out of room, and the kicks and jabs won't be so painful...then she will stretch and it will feel like she is literally going to pop right out from under your skin (ever see the movie Alien?) HAHA.

This is completely normal, my daughter used to get her feet up under my ribs and push, once that started I couldn't wait to get her out!

That is normal. My son kicked me so hard when he was in my belly that I thought he was going to break himself out. It was very very uncomfortable!! He was so active.
