Whether or not you can return them for a refund depends on the store's return policy. As for why they're so expensive .........
Some use more expensive materials, some cost more to produce, some are in greater demand (designer labels), and some is because of greed. They aren't marked up nearly as much as contact lenses though.

usually places have a money back guarantee, but you'd need to check with the people you got them from. the extra cost is overhead.
