I suppose I do believe in them because I know some people who have told me they've seen them. Here are some of them.

So, I know someone who lives in England, and once she was staying in an old Victorian-style house there. It was a few hundred years old. The room she was staying in was actually an addition that had been added just recently. The bed in her room was arranged so that you could see the hallway while lying in the bed. One morning she woke up and saw two children, dressed as if from the Victorian era, standing at the edge of the hallway, looking into the room. They couldn't enter the room, however, because it wasn't part of the house during their time.

Someone else I know in England told me that he was staying in an old house that used to be a barn. One night while he woke up in the middle of sleeping and he saw a man kind of floating above the bed and he was leaning over. The next day he told the owners of the house this and they told him that there used to be a ladder where the man was floating, and that a platform used to exist right where the man was leaning over. Perhaps the man died by falling off the ladder?

Another time, my friend told me she was in her college dorm and she saw a ghost of a man wearing a long, black leather coat. The next day her neighbor told her she saw a ghost of a man wearing a long, black leather coat. She saw the very same thing and told my friend without any previous knowledge she had seen the ghost too.

So I guess I do believe in ghosts even though I believe in Heaven and Hell as well. Maybe being a ghost is an in-between stage, like where someone would go if they didn't quite make it into Heaven yet. I don't know, I'm just speculating here...

I believe that they are all around us. We catch glimpses of them out of the corner of our eyes, but can't see them directly on. I also believe that a persons "soul" is stuck where they die, if they die unexpectedly or violently. Some, that have accepted death can move about, not as we know it, but some other way that we can not yet understand. If there is no life after death and this life is all we have, then we are a sorry race, put here for no reason. I think we get to "recycle" ourselves, if we choose, to right our wrongs of our other lives or to try to achieve what we couldn't in this life. If you have no beliefs, then again, why are we here in the first place? Viva La Difference!

Yes, yes, and yes. Ghosts are merely the spirit of those that have passed from the physical/material existence into the spirit existence for manifestation. It is all about energies.

The senses can be open to 'more' in the universe and know that loved ones (in spirit) can and do communicate. This is called mediumship and it is real.

The afterlife has been studied in many quarters - I have links to science studying the afterlife - from religion, philosophy to science. The concensus is...yes, some part of us does continue after death of the physical body.

Life continues after this mortal time ends...

There are no ghosts... as in the dead who return or just stickaround... those who have gone on do not return or communicate in any way with the mortal world... there are evil spirits who can mimic the departed. And they do a good job of that and they can be seen sometimes... they are never friendly even if they pretend to be...yes I have had contact with these on three occasions... I hope I never do again,...
