I been married for 6 yrs and admit have been through a lot with my husband. Finding numbers and text messages. I've done prison time with him almost 5 yrs, oh by the way I been with him 10 yrs. Sometimes I feel like he doesn't love me and is no longer attracted to me, he says that's not the case. I try not to complain because he said he can never do enough for me. I appreciate every thing that he does for me, but I feel like he put his friends and family before me and the kids. I asked him would he go to counseling he said no, he don't need anyone telling him what needs to be done in his marriage, his only counselor is God. I really don't want to give up on my marriage because I love him very much. I guess I just cant determine when enough is enough. He is a good many and another woman would love to have him. He takes care of home financially but when he is away from home I can't help but wonder if he is cheating. I am tired and feel like I can't go on anymore.

No, you are not dumb. You are just feeling rejected in a way. What your husband is forgetting is Gen 2:24: Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. Here is a site that may help you. I listed it in my sources. Good luck. Don't give up.

what does your intuition tell u, listen to it, it is never wrong. i would be a little worried about the text messages, and if he puts friends and family before u, that is one of the signs he is disconnecting from u, very well could be that he has begun an affair behind your back. when they seem to have lost interest, and u are no longer a priority, it could very well be because of cheating.

Your smart for wanting to go marriage counceling, but what he's telling you is just an excuse. Marriage counceling can help any marriage, as long as both partners go into the counceling with an open mind and are willing to apply what they learn in counceling to their marriages.

We all have rough patches in our marriages, but to me it sounds like your husband is the dumb one for not wanting to go through marriage counceling. It is possible that he may be cheating on you. I hope that he's not. But I think your wanting to get things on track by going to marriage counceling is very smart.

So no I don't think your dumb at all.

sounds suspicious for sure. i'm not sure what compelled you to add the prison time except maybe you were gone and he might have been with another girl those 5 years? are you thinking that he had a girl and is still seeing her? can't blame him really because of the void he felt. what do you want? do you kinda understand his feelings?

If he indeed feels that God is his only counselor, then maybe, just maybe...

Involve your minister in this matter. Surely he can not object to a servant of our beloved God to assist in our worldly problem solving.

After all we all bleed and he should be able to respect and take advise from your minister or priest.

Talk to your priest or minister and see what they think about helping you through this difficult time in your life. I applaud your attempting to save your marriage.

sounds like you should go to counceling, not him, you are the one with the trust issue but say another woman would be glad to have him, that doesnt make sense,

He sounds like a good man, start thinking the same thing

Sorry can't help. Your situation is either very complicated or you are simply making it that way.
