Is Kevin Garnett an overated?

are you nuts? the main reason KG hasn't won an NBA ring is cuz his teammates SUCK! the best supporting cast he ever had in his entire life was when he had cassell and sprewell and that was when he won the MVP and was 2 wins shy from the finals. currently, he is having another stellar year, leading the NBA in double-doubles but obviously he can't do it on his own. basketball is a team game and as his Adidas commercial says, IT TAKES FIVE! davis? james? hassell? these are just average players at best, if you ask me. so please dude, stop the hate cuz you know nothing about the game of basketball!

Never will you find someone who thinks KG is over-rated, and if you do, well, they don't know squat about basketball. Where talking about a player how came into the league out of high school, has stayed loyal to a team which has never showed him any commitment to winning. When he won the MVP award, he led the Timberwolves to the western conference finals only to lose to the all mighty Lakers. However, that season, he managed to lead the league in points, 24.0 ppg, and averaged 13.9 boards per game. The first player in 29 years to lead both categories in the same year. And the best part, he's still got a couple years left. I hope minny bring some people in or I hope the kid leaves!!

are u kidding me? there are a couple reasons why kg hasnt won any championships...1) his organization, mchale in particular is an idiot. he cant put the right pieces to complement kg plus that moron lost 1st rd draft picks when he tried to sign joe smith illegally. the only time he did something right was sign spree and cassell...but that didnt last long. 2) kg is FAR too loyal to the franchise and the city. the man is gonna be 31 years old and has only made past the 1st rd of the playoffs 1 time. most people would ask or demand a trade if the team wasnt going in the right direction. not kg though...a bit too much class for that.

put kg on the spurs or mavs and duncan and dirk on wolves...and look at the results. even those 2 players wouldnt be able to carry a wolves team with the parts they got.

No he is not overrated . He might be underrated. He carries my Wolves on his back every night. If our worthless GM could pick player and/or make a smart trade . Kevin would have a title. He got close with a good Cassel and Spreewell. Think what he could do with one other great player and some role players.
Remember even the Great Air Jordan couldn't carry the Bulls all by himself. He had no titles pre Pipen.

KG is good. He's not overrated. The thing is, his teammates aren't really that good. They came close when they had that Garnett-Cassell-Sprewell combo, unfortunately, they faced the Lakers, which they lost. But if for example, he has some other guys with him, I think, he might have a chance to win it all.

He isn't ovverated. The reason he has no rings is because he has no talent surrounding him. The team relies heavily on him to do the scoring and everything else. But if you were to give him a good sidekick, or team, he could probably win a ring.
