where can i download free sound effects for my movies/plays?

everytime i make movies or directing a play in our school, i used to make sound effects by recording, hich is quite obsolete to do..
im quite busy now so i cant do such stuff so i think it would be best if i only download it in the internet for free. proble is i dont know where.
