It really depends on how you define "best"... do you define best as the highest runs scorer, most successful batsman, best ODI batsman, best test matches batsman etc... The parameter of "best" is as fluid as a flowing river. It has different meanings for different people.
To me Sir Gary Sobers, Sir Viv Richards, Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Steve Waugh, Allan Border, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly etc are amongst the top batsmen. Sir Gary Sobers is undoubtedly the best All Rounder Batsman.

Bhavani Singh in Ludhiana makes best cricket bats in the world and they are not so expensive. In my opinion he is the best batsman in the world.

Sachin Tendulkar of course! He is the best batsmen because of his batting style and ability.It is not so easy to score 14000+ runs in one day cricket! Also he has got 40+ centuries, ahead of even the nearest contenders.

Micheal Hussey he averages 66.1 runs in 60 matches or Sir Don Bradman he averaged 99.48 runs he played for 20 tears but only test matches
