Use BODMAS. which means u follow the following order when solving an euqations:
B-Bracket(solve the equation within the bracket first)
D-Divide
M-Multiply
A-Add
S-Subtract

In this equation, using BODMAS first we will solve the bracket, ie, we will divide 18 by 7. This answer will then be multiplied by 5. When there is a bracket between two numbers, u need to multiply them.
BODMAS is used to solve all sorts of equations. You just need to follow the order correct. u cannot subtract first and then multpily, ur answer will be wrong.

first divide 18 by 7, that gives u 2.571428571.
then multiply 5 with the answer, that is, 2.571428571. that gives u 12.85714286.

(brackets mean u have to multiply)
