First of all relax a little! Too much stress on the body will contribute to low sperm count. Avoid hot temperatures: no saunas, whirlpools, hot showers, or hot tubs. The testicles are outside of a man's body for a reason: They need cooler temperatures to develop normally. Sperm would die if they were kept inside, or close to the body. So, avoid tight underwear that keeps them close to your body. Wear boxers or if you are alone in the house, wear nothing at all! Consider sleeping naked, or at least your lower half. Avoid frequent sex with your wife. Keep track of her cycle together and when she's fertile by all means make up for lost time. Two headed sperm are abnormal. Keeping the testicles at cooler temperatures should help in normal sperm production. Remember, too much stress is bad for both of you. Plan a romantic and soothing get-a-way around the time your wife ovulates and just let it happen. You should enjoy the intimate time you have together, Don't Stress!!! Have fun and good luck!

At your age and after a year, trying to improve sperm count is likely to be a futile exercise. You're almost certain to get a better result by taking advantage of assisting technology in order to use the best of the sperm that you do have in a concentrated fashion that will most greatly heighten chances of conception.

Also, double-headed sperm are a problem. It's a defect, and each double-headed sperm is a sperm that will not be able to fertilize an egg. A high percentage of defective sperm when the sperm count is already low is an additional barrier to creating pregnancy.

I agree that trying to improve sperm count isn't going to be nearly as effective as going for assisted reproduction, like intrauterine insemination (IUI), in which the sperm is concentrated mechanically & then injected into the uterus close to ovulation.

In some cases this is done with a natural cycle and in others, the ovulation is stimulated using hormones (pills or injections), to stimulate the release of more than one ovum during a single cycle. This helps increase the chance of pregnancy.

In the meantime, eat plety of cooked tomatoes or take a multi-vitamin that has lycopene - it's known to improve sperm quality, but it takes a while - 2 to 3 months.

Good luck!

Switch to boxers if you wear breifs. Do you take baths instead of showers or spend a lot of time in a hot tub? If so, read this article: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/6418771.stm?lsf (it says if you spend more than 30 mintues in hot water your sperm count can increase 500% if you switch to showers.) Also, have your wife time intercourse by registering for a free online ovulation calendar like the one at http://www.fertilitygal.com (that's what I use). Obstain from sex up until 3 days before your wife's ovulation, then have sex every 36 hours to ensure that you sperm count is as high as it can be.

Check out http://www.academic.marist.edu/~jzmz/urinary/urine31.html for a picture of a two-headed sperm. Another typ eof two headed sperm is two heads on one side which cannot
penetrate the egg.

This is also a good document about sperm: http://www.api-pt.com/pdfs/2006Amicroscopy.pdf

wear boxers instead of briefs, loose fitting pants, stay away from baths all together. also. if you sleep with an electric blanket on the bed keep it cut off. A mans testicles need to be a lower temperature than the rest of the body, the cooler they are the more potent the sperm. also even if your sperm count is low, it is still possible for your wife to conceive. my dr. told my husband to take vitamin c daily. he said that increases the sperms mobility. so even if it is low there will be a chance that one will make it to the egg. i wish you luck and pray for you

I just wanted to let you know that it is not impossible to have a child even with a very low sperm count. My parents adopted my brother and sister from Korea after finding out that there was a VERY slim chance that they would ever have biological children due to my fathers low sperm count. About 1 year after adopting my sister, my mom went into the hospital because she was feeling very sick and found out that she was pregnant with me. After the stress was gone of trying to have a baby, it happened. Wear boxers, don't take hot baths, and most of all RELAX!

don't know any facts but just keep trying, if its meant to be, its meant to be. They say that if you only have sex around the time they are ovulating, the sperm are strong, so you could try that.
Maybe talk to your doctor about your results.

Loose under wear like boxers help, and loose jeans, less stress, and little caffine. Increased stimulation helps as well. Another method is herbs...My brother n law was in a similar situation, and they told him all this stuff would help. He now has two kids.
