Simple step to use: Crumple up some Newspaper and leave it in there approximately seven to ten days this will remove the odor without washing, also change the paper about the third day of this process, your luggage will be odor free real soon, you can even do this suggestion while they are stored not in use it will keep them odor free. How funny, about 2 months ago I asked this same question! The best solution that worked for me was SEVERAL! First I sprayed febreeze (like soaked it!) and then let it dry in the sun. Next I sprayed lysol. Then I soaked cotton balls in pure vanilla and set them inside with it closed (CAREFUL-The vanilla stained the inside of the suitcase, put something down fisrt!) Lastly, I used dryer sheets! I know it sounds like a lot, but its better than having your clothing smell like that new plastic smell!
