The teacher at bartending school said black pants and a white shirt to the interview. Is there any type of bar where you will not get hired for showing up in this?

Most employers will look at your clothing which should always be professional dress no matter what job while being at an interview. As long as you are wearing clean dress pants and a nice shirt, your body and hair are clean. ( do not wear a lot of perfume as it makes you look cheap) Carry yourself with confidence but not cockyness. Relax.... you will do fine.

you will no longer get employed in maximum any bar wearing that.... somewhat. If it grew to become into bar the place that isn't the outfit you will possibly seem pretencious and that wou assume to be extra upscale.A verzion of black and white is the main basic in mid to upscale bars yet yours won't be purely stunning the best element, decrease or style. they might like the bartenders to take place in a brilliant crisp shirt and if it wrinkles at the same time as working, ok. You do an identical with a shirt for an interview and it will seem undesirable in 10 minutes. basically in case you're taking place in that outfit everywhere it would be like wearing a TGIFridays uniform to an interview before you rather have the pastime. placed on something company casual. Dockers or an surprising pair of pants. A collared shirt and a tie no count if that's an surprising place. The interview is approximately your character..... no longer some fundamentals you discovered at school. Shake palms seem human beings interior the attention and be beneficial that's the significant. no longer the resume that the college made you're making highlighting acceptable skills. Its human beings skills. Your pastime is to get any bar pastime after which you will start to make contacts and have a reference. generally the wonderful place for this in case you probably did the college is a lodge or something. the wonderful element interior the entire international is to pass to that bar anonymously some nights before. seem around and notice what's up. you would be extra effective arranged.

high end bars with richer clientele expect black pants and white shirt, but more relaxed atmosphere bars would be fine with nice jeans and shirt. go to the bar you think you'd like to work at (or all the ones) and see how they are dressed before your interview.
