How can I tell if my old Corelleware is microwave safe?

These dishes are white and since they were passed on to me I don't know how old they are. Some have little beige flowers on them.

Put an empty dish in the microwave and turn the oven on for 30 seconds. If the dish feels warm, then it is probably not microwaveable.

well the only way you can tell is to put them in a microwave and see, usually if its glass or clay they are but if they are sentimental too you I would use something else, you could just take it to a antique dealer and ask them how old they are too.
